Anna leads people operations at Saltbox — the flexible-warehouse and logistics company built for product and e-commerce brands. When she started, she owned the entire employee lifecycle alone: hiring, onboarding, performance management, engagement, reviews, benefits and offboarding, across all 12 locations.

With roughly a quarter of those locations hiring at any given time, applications piled up fast. And Saltbox hires two very different kinds of people — hourly, on-site warehouse staff and senior, remote specialists supporting each location. Anna was pulled in both directions, and needed to move faster without flattening what made each role unique.
