RightMatch reviews from customers point to one result: small hiring teams screen far more candidates without adding recruiters.
Freeosk screened 2,800 applicants for one technical role with no new headcount. Saltbox hires across 12 U.S. locations with a two-person People team. PSI imported about 100,000 resumes, got 72 hours of screening time back, and placed a $25K+ role it nearly passed on.

Freeosk: High-volume screening without new recruiters
Freeosk runs in-store product sampling kiosks. Their technical roles were pulling in thousands of applicants, and templated resumes made strong candidates hard to spot. Every first-round phone screen took 20 to 30 minutes.
They replaced that first round with structured one-way video interviews. Every candidate answers the same questions, scored the same way, and hiring managers watch real answers instead of reading recruiter notes.
“I’m now able to talk to six or seven candidates in an hour where normally that would be blocking my calendar for 20 to 30 minutes per candidate. I’m saving a couple of hours a week … It helped eliminate the number of pre-screening calls, and gave our hiring managers a more substantial view of a potential candidate without investing hours of interviews.”
– Megan Voss, Freeosk
Saltbox: Hourly and senior hiring across 12 locations
Anna Ureño-Villalba, People Operations Business Partner at Saltbox, started as a team of one covering hiring, onboarding, benefits, and offboarding for 12 flexible warehouse locations. She was hiring hourly on-site staff and senior remote specialists at the same time.
“We needed something that could help us hire faster, but also be unique to each of the roles we were hiring.”
– Anna Ureño-Villalba, Saltbox
Each Saltbox role now gets its own interview questions, and AI screening turns on or off by role. Candidates get a welcome video plus text follow-ups, which matters for hourly and frontline workers who can’t take a call mid-shift. Everything syncs into Greenhouse, so hiring managers never leave their ATS.
In Denver, a hiring manager filled an experienced on-site operations lead role in under two weeks. The People team has since grown from one to two.
“Scott and Sterling and the team are there to listen. They might not have a solution then and there, but they’ll help you find it.”
– Anna Ureño-Villalba, Saltbox
PSI: An AI interviewer for staffing agencies
John Usher runs talent acquisition at PSI, an IT and professional services staffing firm in Columbus, Ohio. His small team had more open reqs than hours to work them.
Now most PSI reqs run through RightMatch first. The screening assessment is generated from the job description. Candidates interview on their own time. Recruiters sort by score, watch the interviews that matter, and send strong candidates to the client after one short call.
That’s how PSI took on a data center estimator search it likely would have skipped. It closed for more than $25,000 in fees.
“I’d recommend RightMatch to any staffing agency with positions falling by the wayside because of bandwidth, especially if you have a small team like ours … I’m really impressed by the RightMatch support team. Those guys do a really great job.”
John Usher, PSI
Phone screens vs. async video interviews
Every customer above made the same switch. Here’s what changes.
| Phone screen | Async video interview | |
|---|---|---|
| Recruiter time per candidate | 20 to 30 minutes, live | A few minutes, reviewed in batches |
| Scheduling | Back-and-forth for every call | None, candidates record anytime |
| Consistency | Varies by recruiter and day | Same questions, same scoring |
| What hiring managers see | Recruiter notes | The candidate’s actual answers |
| Fit for hourly workers | Hard to take calls mid-shift | Record on a phone after work |
What RightMatch testimonials have in common
Small teams do more. None of these customers added recruiters to handle the volume.
Hiring managers get better signal earlier. They see real answers before anyone books a live interview.
It fits the existing process. Custom questions per role, optional AI scoring, and native ATS integrations.
Support shows up. Saltbox and PSI both named the team as a reason it worked.
Candidate fraud detection built in
Freeosk flagged a worry most TA leaders share: with AI everywhere, how do you know a candidate is real?
RightMatch fraud detection checks every interview for AI-generated voices, deepfake or replayed video, resumes reused across applicants, and IP or location mismatches. In 2025 it flagged 14% of high-volume applicants. A flag is a signal, not a verdict. Teams set thresholds per role, and candidates can appeal any flag.
